Returning to the Spirit of the American Cowboy

Inspired by the heritage, individuality, and craftsmanship of traditional Western millinery, KJ Murphy’s creates custom hats that feel deeply personal, timeless, and rooted in the culture of the American cowboy.

I partnered with the brand to evolve its digital presence from a simple portfolio into a more immersive e-commerce experience that honored the authenticity and artistry behind the craft. Alongside refining the brand guide and visual identity system, the new Shopify storefront was designed to reflect the warmth, texture, and bespoke nature of the in-store experience while creating a seamless destination for both custom and ready-made hats.

From curated product imagery to the structure and tone of the site itself, every detail was designed to feel grounded, intentional, and connected to the heritage of the brand. The result is a more cohesive digital experience that expands accessibility while preserving the spirit and craftsmanship at the heart of KJ Murphy’s.
